Oha Soup (Ora Soup)
Delight in the unique, aromatic flavors of our traditional oha soup, a prized delicacy from the Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria. Made with fresh oha leaves (ora leaves), this special soup has a distinctive slightly bitter taste, thick consistency, and rich flavor that makes it a favorite for special occasions and celebrations.
What Makes It Special
Our oha soup is prepared the authentic Igbo way with fresh oha leaves (which must be hand-torn, never cut with a knife to preserve their delicate flavor), cocoyam paste or achi for thickness, uziza seeds for aromatic spice, rich palm oil, ground crayfish, and your choice of assorted meat, stockfish, and dried fish. The result is a thick, flavorful soup with layers of complexity - earthy, slightly bitter, aromatic, and deeply satisfying.
